Culture Committee

  1. Jump to sub-topics

The Culture Committee was formed in 2005 to be the lead body on the UK National Commission for UNESCO’s (UKNC) culture related work. The committee’s membership represents the broad spectrum of the culture sector, including the arts, museums and cultural heritage.

The UKNC’s expertise makes it well placed to advise UK Government on cultural issues as wide ranging as those addressed by UNESCO’s Cultural Conventions.

The main focus of the Culture Committee is outlined in its Terms of Reference.
