On World Food Day, 16 October - and throughout the year - students all over the world can use these lessons to gain a better understanding of hunger and malnutrition.

A Creative Approach to Environmental Education, A Teaching Resource Kit for Mountain Countries
A teaching resource kit designed for people living in mountainous regions proposes some original projects, such as creating a “treasure collection”, making a mosaic out of plants or learning to recognise animal tracks. It includes a manual for teachers and an activity book to be completed by pupils, using a fun and engaging approach so that 10 to 15 year-olds living in mountainous areas can learn about their environment. Its contents have been designed as part of the activities for the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014).
