Human Rights Education and Active Citizenship: Case for Scotland Conference

This event is organised by BEMIS, in Partnership with Amnesty International, International Development Education Association of Scotland (IDEAS) and Education Scotland and is supported by other major partners, including the UK National Commission for UNESCO Scotland Committee.

A conference to promote Human Rights Education (HRE) and Active Citizenship in Scotland. The conference brings specialist experience and expertise relevant to the core of HRE and Active Citizenship with excellent speakers presenting a series of alternative perspectives on an intercultural and ethical framework for active citizenship.

The keynote address will be delivered by Jun Morohashi, UNESCO Chief of section for promotion of Rights and Values for Education.
