The Information Society Working Group (ISWG) contributes towards UNESCO’s vision of building a people-centred, inclusive and development-oriented Information Society, where everyone can create, access, utilize and share information and knowledge.
The Working Group’s membership is drawn from a diverse range of professions, including the creative industries, publishing, film, software and information systems, and the communications. This allows the Working Group to effectively address the varied issues relating to the information society, including open educational resources (OER), public service media and media literacy.
