The University of Edinburgh has been awarded Scotland’s second UNESCO Chair.

The new UNESCO Chair in International Development recognises the University’s contribution to the field and will address specific needs and opportunities for social and economic development as identified by partner developing countries, which include Rwanda, Malawi and South Africa in the first phase. Initial priority areas are global health and climate change.
