UK UNESCO sites celebrate World Radio Day

This year's World Radio Day explored Radio in Times of Emergency and Disaster

UK Designations and organisations celebrated World Radio Day on 13 February.

World Radio Day aims to raise greater awareness among the public and the media of the importance of radio, and encourages decision makers to establish and provide access to information through radio as well as enhance networking and international cooperation among broadcasters.

As part of the celebrations Bradford UNESCO City of Film held a Whistle Stop Tour of UNESCO Creative Cities of Film
