Sciences Committee
The Sciences Committee leads on the UK National Commission for UNESCO’s sciences related work. The Committee brings together a core group of experts in the life and physical sciences, engineering, science policy and ethics. It meets in person three times per year. The Committee is chaired by Professor Alec Boksenberg and hosts four working groups.
Additionally, the Committee engages with a range of external partner organisations in its areas of work, including: L’Oréal UK and Ireland, the Royal Institution, UK Resource Centre for Women In SET, UK Collaborative on Development Sciences, UK Man and the Biosphere (MAB), Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), International Hydrological Programme (IHP) and International Geosciences Programme (IGCP) National Committees.
