Universal Copyright Convention (1952, 1971)

- Entry into force: 16 September 1955
- UK status: The UK ratified this Convention on the 27 June 1957 and the revision on 19 May 1972.
This Convention aims to provide adequate and effective protection of the rights of authors and artists. This includes protection in the field of literature, scientific and artistic works, including writings, musical, dramatic and cinematographic works, and paintings, engravings and sculpture.
