The 2017 Call for Applications for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network is now closed.
The Creative Cities Network celebrates and strengthens local creative industries, bringing together proud communities to inspire dynamic urban renewal and economic growth.
Join 8 other UNESCO Creative Cities in the UK: Edinburgh (Literature, 2004); Glasgow (Music, 2008); Bradford (Film, 2009); Norwich (Literature, 2012); Dundee (Design, 2014); York (Media Arts, 2014); Liverpool (Music, 2015); and Nottingham (Literature, 2015).
If you are interested in applying for the accreditation, you should have submitted your application to the UK National Commission (UKNC) for UNESCO for peer review before we will provide a letter of endorsement for your application. Applications should have been submitted to Andrea Blick (email@example.com) by 16 April 2017.
Applying through the UKNC allows us to support and provide specialist feedback for your prospective application before it is submitted to UNESCO in June 2017. We have successfully assisted four UK cities to become UNESCO Creative Cities since 2015.
