The UK National Commission for UNESCO’s expert network is open to anyone based in the UK who is interested in the aims and activities of UNESCO at home and abroad.
We are looking to broaden our expert base in the UK and therefore welcome applications to join the network. Expressions of interest are especially welcome from those who specialise in education, the sciences, culture, communication and information at programme and/or policy level.
Network members receive regular updates on the work of the UKNC and of the UNESCO family in the UK. Joining our network means that we may periodically call on your relevant expertise to provide pro-bono support to contribute to policy briefs and provide advice to the UK Government on UNESCO related issues, officially represent the UK on international forums, and evaluate UK applications for UNESCO accreditations and nominations.
Prospective members of our network complete a skills and interests form, which outlines your areas of expertise and interest. This allows us to match your skills and interests with suitable opportunities as they arise in the UK and at UNESCO.
