Liverpool City Council is consulting on the next iteration of Liverpool’s Maritime World Heritage Site Management Plan.
The purpose of the Liverpool WHS Management Plan is to ensure the effective protection of the Site for present and future generations. The Plan aims to establish a more valued role and active profile for the WHS in Liverpool, and provides details on its future promotion, interpretation and celebration.
Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City was inscribed as a World Heritage Site in 2004, recognising it as a place of Outstanding Universal Value under the terms of the 1972 UNESCO World Heritage Convention.
The draft Management Plan can be read on Liverpool City Council’s website. Public comments should be submitted by 5pm on 4 April 2017.
