Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor visited Bradford UNESCO City of Film last month to promote their new film Befikre, a dazzling Bollywood blockbuster celebrating living and loving.
A question and answer session with Ranveer Singh was held at the National Media Museum and chaired by David Wilson, Director of Bradford UNESCO City of Film. Singh and Vaani Kapoor then joined a crowd of 3,000 fans in Bradford City Centre for a film screening. Highlights from the day’s events are available online.
Speaking to the BBC, David Wilson said:
“It’s really significant to have someone like Ranveer Singh, who is such hot property in Bollywood at the moment, and it links to the legacy of Bollywood movies being shown in the city for the last half century so it brings that legacy to a whole new audience”.
