DCMS want you to join the #OurCulture discussion to share your ideas for a new cultural strategy for the UK

The UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport has launched a discussion platform for people to share and discuss ideas for a new, far-reaching cultural strategy, the first in 50 years.

Since September, the platform has generated debate on the themes of places:  exploring ideas on how culture brings together communities across the UK, funding:  looking at building financial resilience in cultural organisations and new funding models and people: specifically how people engage with culture and how to ensure everyone can access and experience culture. The discussion focus for December is on Cultural Diplomacy: looking at working with our cultural institutions to promote Britain abroad.

Interested parties are invited to post their ideas and comments against each of the four main challenges outlined above to spark lively debates and conversations, which demonstrate your passion for our culture and heritage and how we can ensure they are equipped to adapt and thrive for future generations.

As well as visiting the discussion’s online platform, you can also join the conversation on social media using the #OurCulture hashtag.
