Night of Heritage Light receives Design Award

The Night of Heritage Light, which illuminated nine of the UK’s World Heritage Sites on 1 October 2015 in recognition of UNESCO’s International Year of Light, has been awarded Heritage Project of the Year at the Lighting Design Awards.

Judged by prominent figures within the lighting industry, this award recognises the Society of Light and Lighting’s (SLL) effort and expertise and the many partners across the UK who made NoHL possible.

On receiving the award, Brendan Keely, SLL Secretary, said:

“The level of collaboration which took place in order to light nine UNESCO World Heritage sites in one night was immense”.
