Every day throughout this summer’s Edinburgh International Book Festival, a new and upcoming local writer took to the stage to share their writing with an eager crowd.
This popular Story Shop series, organised by Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature is in its tenth consecutive year and there have now been over 150 performances as part of this Emerging Writers’ programme. To celebrate 10 years of Story Shop and the Cities of Literature Network, Edinburgh City of Literature hosted a pop-up storytelling event with ten Edinburgh-based writers who have been in Story Shop and seven writers travelling from six other Cities of Literature; Ljubljana, Dunedin, Lviv, Nottingham, Reykjavík and Norwich.
Story Shop performances were streamed live online providing those who were unable to make it to the festival with a front-row seat.
