The University of Plymouth is launching a global initiative aimed at enhancing awareness of the role geoscience can play in addressing some of society’s greatest challenges.
UNESCO Global Geoparks are areas with internationally-significant geological heritage that are managed holistically for protection, sustainable development and education. Kirstin Lemon from the Geological Survey of Northern Ireland (GSNI), part of the British Geological Survey (BGS) tells us about her involvement.
